Plain-English terms for renting totes from CrateMoreSpace. Effective July 2026.

1. About CrateMoreSpace

CrateMoreSpace provides reusable moving-tote rentals, including delivery and pickup, to help customers move or organize their belongings more conveniently.

At this time, CrateMoreSpace rents totes only and does not provide storage, moving services, or self-pickup options.

2. Rental Items

  • Rented items may include reusable storage totes and, if applicable, dollies or accessories.
  • All rental items remain the property of CrateMoreSpace at all times.
  • Items are provided in clean, usable condition at delivery.

3. Rental Period

If additional time is needed, customers must request an extension before the scheduled pickup date. Extensions are subject to availability.

  • The minimum rental period is two (2) weeks.
  • The rental period begins on the delivery date.
  • Pickup is scheduled at the end of the rental period.

4. Delivery & Pickup

Delivery and pickup windows are scheduled in advance and must be respected.

  • Delivery and pickup are handled by CrateMoreSpace.
  • Customer pickup or self-return is not permitted.
  • An adult must be present for both delivery and pickup appointments.

5. Service Area

CrateMoreSpace serves Kokomo, Indiana and nearby communities. Requests outside the standard service area may be accepted depending on availability, scheduling, and logistics.

6. Customer Responsibilities

The customer agrees to:

  • Use rental items for normal household and personal use only.
  • Keep items in their possession and protected from theft, misuse, or damage.
  • Not leave totes unattended in public or unsecured locations.
  • Return all items in reasonably clean condition.

7. Damage, Loss, and Replacement

CrateMoreSpace is not responsible for damage to the customer's personal belongings stored inside the totes.

  • Customers are responsible for loss or damage beyond normal wear and tear.
  • Normal scuffs and marks from typical use are expected and not charged.
  • Items that are lost, destroyed, or severely damaged may be charged a replacement fee.

8. Extensions

We recommend contacting us as early as possible if you think you'll need more time.

  • Extensions may be requested before the scheduled pickup date.
  • Extension availability depends on inventory and scheduling.
  • Additional charges may apply for extended rental periods.

9. Cancellations & Rescheduling

These policies exist to protect delivery scheduling and availability.

  • Advance notice is required for cancellations or rescheduling.
  • Cancellations made well in advance are easier to accommodate.
  • Late cancellations or repeated schedule changes may incur a fee.

10. Missed Appointments

If a customer is unavailable during a scheduled delivery or pickup:

  • The appointment may be considered missed.
  • A missed-appointment fee may apply.
  • Delivery or pickup will need to be rescheduled based on availability.

11. Payment Terms

Accepted payment methods may include credit or debit card and other options offered at booking.

  • Payment is required before delivery.
  • Additional charges (extensions, missed appointments, damage, or loss) may be billed after delivery or pickup.

12. Limitation of Liability

CrateMoreSpace is not responsible for:

  • Damage to items stored inside the totes.
  • Delays caused by weather, mechanical issues, or events outside reasonable control.

13. Refusal of Service

CrateMoreSpace reserves the right to:

  • Decline service requests that cannot be fulfilled safely or reliably.
  • Refuse future rentals in cases of repeated policy violations or non-payment.

14. Changes to These Terms

These terms may be updated as the business grows. The version in effect at the time of booking applies to that rental.
